The Million Dollar Bike Ride is a special opportunity to raise research funds and increase awareness of inclusion body myositis (IBM). Every donation helps. Whether you can give $10, $25, $100, or $500, your gift will be valuable and appreciated.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Million Dollar Bike Ride was held this year as a virtual event. Although we couldn't ride in person in Philadelphia, we were united as a team in spirit, with team members participating from home and their own communities on Saturday, June 13. Fundraising has been challenging this year, so every donation is especially appreciated!
Several team members have individual fundraising pages, and the donations they have received do not show up on the fundraising thermometer on this page. As of June 10, the team overall had raised almost $28,000, which is enough to qualify for matching funds from the University of Pennsylvania and support a $56,000 research grant! Since a standard grant for a pilot research project is often $50,000, we've have achieved another major success!
